G string or Thong, The Difference between a G string or a Thong
G-string or Thong? What’s the difference anyway? Aren’t they both the same thing?.. the same thong??? Oh it’s too confusing. Somebody, please explain.
The difference between a Thong and a G-string is basically only in the size of a teeny tiny piece of fabric. Yes that’s the teeny tiny piece of fabric that is the so-called ‘back’ of the underwear. The lucky little piece that goes from the back waist band at the top, then down, between your butt cheeks, to connect up with the piece that ‘cups’ your genitals in the front. Gee, wouldn’t you like to have THAT job.
For a Thong, this piece is about 2-3cm wide and allows a slight coverage of your botty crack, all in the name of modesty of course…yet is still subtle enough that there is no chance of a VPL (visible panty line). Heaven help you if your VPL is showing. Some people will also wear a Thong as swim wear as it means they will receive maximum sun exposure and avoid any dreaded tan lines. Thankfully, thong-wearers on a beach will usually have stunning bodies to match and are fairly easy on the eye if you MUST watch. Most of us, however, should steer clear of this practice and keep our thongs tucked away discreetly under our clothes… although it’s a free country and fat people are people too you know.
With the G-string, as the name implies, the piece of fabric in question is just that - a piece of string. Similar to dental floss, a friend pointed out to me. I should tell him to use it as such! (ewwww, sorry for that vision). Again, some people will proudly strut their G-string on the beach. More power to them I say, although not in a pink fit would I join them. Your ‘front bits’ are covered but your butt cheeks are right out there for all to enjoy. Nothings a secret in a G-string!
Men and women can both wear either a Thong or a G-string. It is completely your choice. There are no ‘laws’ dictated by society on what we can and can not wear in this matter – it is purely personal preference. However, matching sexy lingerie sets that include Thongs or G-strings are (usually) aimed at women. These could be hot, saucy little numbers which means it is then a piece of lace that goes up your clacker instead. But G-strings and Thongs can be made from any type of material you can think of. Lace, cotton, nylon, silk and satin for the meek. And leather, mesh, wet-look lycra and PVC for the wild at heart.
The difference between a Thong and a G-string is minimal at best. They both make us feel sexy and attractive and (hopefully) make our butt look pert and cute. And hey, eventually you may even enjoy that familiar feeling of a permanent wedgie – it’s amazing what you get used to!
